What is SSC?
SSC course after 12th. The full form of SSC is Staff Selection Commission. SSC was established in India by Indian government in the year 1977. The group B and C of central government ministry and other departments are selected by the SSC. If you also want to work for central government than you can do it by applying for SSC. Under SSC, you get a chance to work for central government and also a very bright future. As you all are now aware that SSC is a Selection Board. There are many Selection exams are conducted for various departments of central government such as – CGL , JE , CHSL , CAPF, STENO, JHT.
Staff selection commission is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various positions in the various Ministries and departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training which consists of chairman , two members and a secretary-cum Controller of Examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
SSC conducts different competitive examinations for different posts every year. The examination, a candidate appear for will depend on his or her educational qualifications and the post the candidate wishes to apply for. More than 15 lakhs students give the entrance exam every year for SSC course after 12th
- Stage I of SSC exam is based on the subjects like reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude and English comprehension
- Stage II of SSC exam is based on subjects like general studies, statistics, quantitative skills and language.
1. What is CGL?
The full form of CGL is Combined level graduate Examination. To apply for CGL , you must have qualified your graduation. If you have completed your graduation than you are eligible for CGL and can give exam for CGL, When you pass the exam for CGL you have employment areas of Food Infection and Income Tax Officer. After clearing CGL exam than you get a Government Job with starting salary of 15000/- to 20000/- and goes on increasing with benefits.
To be eligible for appearing in the SSC course after 12th A Candidate must be either
- a citizen of India , or
- a subject of Nepal , or
- a subject of Bhutan , or
- a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the thought of permanently settling in India , or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan , Burma, Sri Lanka , East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania , Zambia , Malawi , Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
The application fee for SSC CGL exam 2017 was Rs.100/- . All women candidates and candidates belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribes , physically handicapped and ex-servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee.
2. What is JE?
SSC course after 12th. The full form of JE is Junior Engineer. For applying for JE, you must have done Engineering or Diploma. If you have completed your graduation than you are eligible for JE and can give exam for JE, when you clear the JE examination than you get the opportunity of becoming Junior Engineer. After passing JE exam you get a Government Job with starting salary of 10000/- to 15000/- and goes on increasing with benefits.
Staff Selection Commission holds an open competitive examination all over the country for recruitment of Junior Engineers in CPWD. A candidate who clears this exam is eligible to become an SSC Junior Engineer. Appearing candidates should have a Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an institute recognized by the Central Government or equivalent qualification.
The commission invites young graduates from various fields to apply for a number of SSC JE vacancies open in different cadres. SSC department allowed the aspirants to fill the online application form for SSC JE for their favourable posts. SSC is a government organization which is responsible for recruiting the many candidates on different vacant seats recognized in various government and semi government organizations.
3. What is CHSL?
You can give this exam for SSC course after 12th . The full form of CHSL is Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination. For CHSL , you must have qualified your 12th examination. If you have completed your senior secondary education than you are eligible for CHSL and can give CHSL exams . When you pass the CHSL exams than you are eligible for the employment areas of Clerk and LDC. After clearing CHSL exam you get a government job with starting salary of 7000/- to 10000/- and goes on increasing with benefits. The SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level is a nationwide exam conducted for recruitment to the posts of Lower Division Clerk, Data Entry Operator , Postal Assistants/ Sorting Assistants.

4. What is CAPF?
The full form of CAPF is Central Armed Police Forces. For CAPF you must have qualified your graduation. If you have completed your graduation than you are eligible for CAPF and cangive CAPF exams. The admission to the courses like Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police etc will help in many ways for sure. 5. What is STENO?
The full name for JE can also be called Stenographer. After graduation you are eligible for STENO and can give exam for STENO. When you pass the exam of STENO , you have the opportunity to become Stenographer. After clearing the exam you get a government job with starting salary of 6000/- to 10000/- and goes on increasing with benefits.
SSC Stenographer is a paper-pen based all India open examination directed for recruitment to the post of Stenographer. 12th pass candidates aged between 18 and 27 years of age are eligible to apply for SSC Stenographer Recruitment exam. The examination for SSC Stenographer comprises of objective type examination followed by skill test in Stenography at 100 word per minute and 80 word per minute for posts of Stenographer Grade C & D respectively. Candidates who obtain the qualifying marks in the SSC Stenographer written examination directed by the SSC will only be called for Skill Test. You are advised that the skill test in Stenographer exam is compulsory in SSC Stenographer Recruitment as such individuals without knowledge of Stenographer should avoid applying for this exam.
6. What is JHT?
The full form of JHT is Junior Hindi Translator. For JHT you must be fluent in languages Hindi as well as English. You are eligible and can give exams for Junior Hindi Translator by doing the proper course of study. When you pass the JHT exam you get the opportunity of employment as Junior Hindi Translator. After clearing JHT exam you get a government job with starting salary of 10000/- to 15000/- and goes on increasing with benefits.
Staff Selection Commission conducts the exam for the position of the Junior Hindi Translators in the various department of the government in the Subordinate offices which includes Railway Board, Central Secretariat Official Language Service, Armed Forces Headquarters and many more.
